I am not a real estate agent. I am someone who listened — to homebuyers frustrated by commissions on one side, and to agents willing to do things differently on the other. RealXM is what happens when you connect the two.
What I kept hearing
Two conversations, separately, that turned out to be the same conversation.

From buyers and sellers: "This commission feels like too much"
I kept hearing people say the same thing after closing — that the commission felt disconnected from the actual work done. Sellers paying 2–3% to a listing agent when buyers found the home on Zillow themselves. Buyers whose agent earned a full commission for writing one offer on a house the buyer found, toured, and fell in love with on their own. The frustration was real and it was everywhere.

From agents: "I'd be fine charging less"
At the same time, I found myself in conversations with licensed agents who openly agreed. Some gave cashback to buyers without being asked, because they felt the commission they received was more than their work on a specific deal warranted. Others had moved to flat-fee listing models and found their clients happier and their referrals stronger than ever. These agents existed. Nobody was connecting them to the people who needed them.

There is no cost to be matched with an agent. No platform fee. No markup. The agent earns their fee from the transaction — they simply choose to share more of it with you.
Every agent in the network is here voluntarily. They are not being pressured to cut their rates — they genuinely believe cashback and flat fees are fair, and they have built their practice around that belief.
The network started in Michigan, where I am based and where I know the market. It is expanding nationally as more agents who share this philosophy join.
